Whether he’s chasing after his favorite ball or calmly staying close by your side, this sweet guy is all about simple pleasures and gentle companionship. Ball chaser & enthusiast: Franklin loves to chase and carry around his ball, proudly showing it off. He’ll even trade it for a treat—he’s polite like that. Soft-mannered & sweet: He comes when called, even with distractions nearby, and gently wags his tail when you give him attention or offer a kind pet. Gentle treat taker: Franklin knows “sit,” though sometimes he doesn’t quite get his butt all the way down—but he’s trying! He takes treats with a soft mouth and a hopeful look. Affiliative & stays near: A true shadow dog at heart, Franklin likes to stick close to his person, whether you’re on the move or just hanging out. Leash learning in progress: He may pull moderately at first, especially when excited, but settles into a much easier walk after a little exercise. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Franklin was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Franklin’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Franklin’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Franklin’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
