About this Cat
CASTRO VALLEY, CA: Hello, my name is Zena! You may remember the TV show and comic book about a warrior princess named Zena (well, she spelled her name as Xena, but I prefer Zena!). And, well, I’m not really a warrior — in fact, I can be a little shy at first — but I am definitely pretty enough to be a princess! I have gorgeous white fur highlighted with striking tabby markings throughout my face, body, legs and tail. I am also very affectionate and will love sleeping beside you in the bed and giving you kisses and purrs. I can be a little skittish at first or with sudden moves and might shy away, flinch or put my teeth on your hand (but I don’t press down!) With time and patience, my trust and affection (and kisses and purrs) will only grow. I kind of think I should be the alpha cat in the house — when you’re a warrior princess, that’s kind of expected, don’t you think? — but am getting along fine with the other cats in my foster home. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zena [CP] was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zena [CP]’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Zena [CP]’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zena [CP]’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
