**update: Elliot has a fractured paw because someone recently set off fireworks, days after 4th of July, and he jumped off the bed and landed wrong on his paw. He is in a cast until the end of August** This scruffy boy is Elliot. He is approx 1 year old and 14lbs. He can be reserved with first impressions but he is worth the wait once he warms up to you! He can be sensitive to busy environments and is very much a homebody. He is cute, silly, affectionate, and smart (he's mastered the doggie door in just a couple of days but he is also house-trained). For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Elliot was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Elliot’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Elliot’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Elliot’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
