**Koko must go to a home with another dog** Koko is approx 1.5 years old and around 10lbs. She is such a sweet little thing and loves cuddling. Koko was brought in with her sister (Kiki, who was recently adopted) and really relied on her for confidence so it is important that Koko live in a home with another dog. She currently follows her foster dog brother around the house and loves playing with him. Although Koko is bashful, please understand that she will love on you once she has been given time to get to know you. She loves playing with toys and has picked up using the doggie door at her foster home. Her foster mom says Koko is very sweet and she has been celebrating Koko's small wins when she picks up something new. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Koko was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Koko’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Koko’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Koko’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
