About this Dog
Adoption Fee $300 Ciri is a petite little blondie who came into rescue underweight at 52 lbs. Her small stature will hopefully be beneficial during the healing process – she had bilateral hip fractures that will require a double femoral head ostectomy (FHO). She has already had the first surgery and came through it like a champ. We will be working with UC Davis to get her second surgery scheduled, so she will be fully on the path to recovery soon. She can complete her recovery in her adoptive home- she was a model patient and was easy to keep her inactive while she was healing. She is a young girl – probably around three years old and active- Her hips don’t appear to slow her down much. This adorable little nugget is an absolute cuddle bug, both with her humans and her foster pack. She is living with three older German Shepherds and loves their company, although she would likely prefer more playful pack mates! She is also living with cats – she does not try to harm them but is very curious and tries to engage in play, so they tend to avoid her! She is silly, playful, and a joy to be around. Ciri uses a doggie door to let herself in and out, and she will sleep in a crate or on a dog bed in her foster mom’s bedroom. Initially, the car made her very nervous, but now she looks forward to going on an outing so she will tolerate the uncertain mode of transportation! Social situations seem new to her, but she quickly warms up to her new surroundings and trusts that her foster mom will show her a good time! Walking on leash also seems new to her, but she is small and easy to manage while she is learning, and she is not reactive to other dogs she meets. Ciri is very affectionate and has really enjoyed the pets and visits from children at our adoption days. This busy little girl will need an active home that provides structure and continued training to manage her curious nature, energy, and allow her to enjoy her new lease on life! May be ok with a dog-savvy cat, other small critters unknown. Level 2

Adopt Ciri and Receive Ciri's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ciri's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ciri's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ciri, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ciri's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ciri was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ciri’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ciri’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ciri’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
