About this Dog
Meet handsome little Ozzy! He's a Catahoula/Shepard mix and he'll be ready to be adopted soon! Ozzy is a chunk, and his paws are big, so he's probably going to be a big boy. He's playful, curious, and very smart. Adopters should be breed savvy, as Catahoula's are known for their strong, independent, and intelligent nature, as well as their loyalty and protective instincts towards their families. They are highly energetic and require a lot of physical and mental stimulation. Early and consistent socialization and training are crucial, as they can be territorial and may exhibit stubbornness if not properly guided. Adopters within the San Bernardino area will be able to adopt on a neuter contract, and once ready (around 9/13/20), adopters must bring to our San Bernardino vet on neuter date for adoption to be finalized. No exceptions re: neuter or where to neuter. If unable to bring to our vet for neuter due to location, we would hold until neutered. Our adoption fee is $350 which includes vaccines (Rabies, Oral Bordatella, and 3 rounds of DAPP), neuter, microchip, 3-4 rounds of deworming, and any other primary vetting needed before adoption. Please do not ask for a discount; our vetting costs already exceed our adoption fees. Pups do not come potty trained. Adopters will need to do their research on potty training techniques and be ready to work with them for however long it takes. Expect messes and be ready to have carpets peed and pooped on until they understand. Houses need to be puppy proofed as well, with all toys (especially small plastic pieces), shoes, cords (anything a pup think is a chew toy) placed out of pup's reach. Puppies are adorable but are a lot of work and will one day be adults, so require training through puppyhoood so they grow up to be confident, well-mannered adults. If you're 1000% ready for the challenges, hard work, and pure joy of puppyhood, apply below. Adopt Ozzy and Receive Ozzy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ozzy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ozzy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ozzy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ozzy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ozzy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ozzy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ozzy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ozzy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
