About this Cat
Liona, one-half of the Irish twins (along with her sister Fiona). They had a really rough start in life -- found as kittens living under a dumpster in a carport, covered in mange. Someone initially tried to take them in when they were a few months old, but could only catch Fiona. A SNM volunteer overheard the tale at the vet, and the fate of Liona, and offered to help catch her -- we later learned that when the person found out that Fiona had mange, she put her back out on the street (btw -- mange is EASY to treat!). Our volunteer was haunted by these beauties and set out to save them -- and thanks to her dedication and determination she did :) Given that they were a bit older when they were caught, initially, it took quite a bit of work for them to understand that we only wanted to help. Another volunteer felt an immediate connection and made it her mission to show them they were safe, bringing them into her home to socialize by working each day to show them love and comfort. And they get better each day! These girls will surely bless the lives of whoever gives them their forever home. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cr4IxaRLn9H/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Liona is the shy shadow. While she doesn't always like to be approached she does always want to be near the action. Liona will follow her foster mom from room to room but at a safe distance so she has space to retreat if anyone moves too quickly. She is still learning to trust people but with time, patience, and love she will let you in, and making that connection with her is worth all of the effort. When she relaxes into pets she is ALL in with her whole body and purrs like a machine. The epitome of petting time is when she gets so excited she somersaults from happiness. There is literally no cuter kitten move ever. Liona also loves to play. She loves wrestling with her sister and can entertain herself on the ripple rug for quite some time, popping in and out of the holes. She also adores little mice that rattle when you shake them. Liona is good with other cats. She snuggles and plays nicely with those who want to engage with her and respects the boundaries of more solitary cats. She is litter box trained and uses them consistently.

Adopt Liona and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Liona's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Liona's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Liona, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Liona's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Liona was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Liona’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Liona’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Liona’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
