About this Cat
He showed up on my doorstep but I can't keep him, as much as I want to, because I already live with a bird. He's very sweet and likes chin scritches and belly rubs. I think he's young, because he seems to have grown in the few months he's been here, but I don't have any more specific clues to his age. I thought he was not fixed; but it occurred to me, after hearing a description of the neutering procedure on males, that he might already be neutered and I'm so unfamiliar with cat anatomy I just can't tell the difference.
I should not fail to mention, however, that he is a “community cat” (I believe that’s the correct term); he still lives outdoors. Although he likes pets, there are still things he’s not used to yet, like being picked up. Given how friendly he is, though, I have no doubt that in a loving home he will soon become happily and completely domesticated.
I love him soooooooo much. It's killing me that I can't keep him, so I would really like him to go to a nice home.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Billie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Billie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Billie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Billie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
