Meet little Jefferson, he came to our rescue around the Fourth of July as a skinny, scared little pup. He went into foster care and is thriving! He is now about 10 weeks old and weighs in at 8 pounds!! He is happy and full of spunk! He loves to play with other dogs and is happy to chew on a plush toy or chase after a ball. He is also a cuddle bug and loves to sit next to you while you watch TV or read a book! He is crate trained and making good progress on his house training. Due to the high demand for puppies we anticipate multiple applications for each pup. Our volunteers will review each submitted application, then contact the top 3 most appropriate ones by either email or phone. Calling or emailing us to see if you are being considered will not expedite the process. If you have been selected for an interview we will contact you within 48 hours of submission. Thanks for your patience. You will be required to complete your puppies vaccine series . For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jefferson (Puppy) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jefferson (Puppy)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jefferson (Puppy)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jefferson (Puppy)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
