About this Dog
Meet King — a 5-year-old, 65 lb Staffordshire Terrier / American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a dash of Beagle and a heart as big as his personality. He’s been a long-term foster and now it's his turn to find a forever home.King is deaf, but don’t let that fool you — he’s incredibly easy to communicate with and fully trained using hand signals. He’s also off-leash trained for those willing to learn how to use an e-collar (and yes, he comes with free lifetime training support). His foster says he’s full of charm, endlessly affectionate, and an all-around joy to live with.He loves to play tug, learn tricks, chew on toys, sniff around on walks, and snuggle up when the day is done. He takes Trazodone to help manage separation and crate anxiety and does well being crated when his foster is away — but would really thrive in a home where he doesn't have to sleep in a crate at night.King is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and great with kids — including rabies under one year old. He gets along with other dogs, though a structured introduction is recommended. He’d do just fine as an only dog or with one other compatible pup. However, he’s not a fit for homes with cats or small animals like rabbits or birds.King is more than ready for his forever family — someone who will appreciate his loving nature, playful energy, and the bond that comes from learning his unique way of communicating. He’s a loyal companion just waiting for the right person to take the throne beside him.If you’re interested in King, please fill out an application today!
