About this Dog
Meet Lucy - Our Little Gremlin Warrior Lucy is a pint-sized pit mix miracle who fought hard for the life she has now - and she's not wasting a second of it. This scrappy survivor nearly didn't make it out of the shelter as a puppy due to a nasty respiratory infection, but with the love of her foster (and some serious medial hustle), Lucy proved she was meant to be here. And WOW, are we glad she stayed. Just under a year old and currently somewhere between 40-45 pounds, Lucy's still growing - we expect she'll fill out a bit more, but she'll likely stay a nice medium size. She's got that perfect puppy energy with a twist: her lungs will always be a little sensitive, so while she loves to play, long walks or extended outdoor adventures aren't her jam. Instead, she's happiest chasing a toy in the yard, playing tug with her humans, or turning your living room into a comedy club with her gremlin antics. Lucy wants to be a good girl - she really does - and you can see her little brain working overtime trying to figure out what her people want. She's got that goofy, grateful, so-happy-to-be-alive spirit that makes her a total joy to be around. She'll make you laugh every single day, whether it's zoomies with her tongue flopping out or the way she plops over for belly rubs like it's her job. If you're looking for a resilient, hilarious, love-bug, handful of a pup who's been through the ringer and came out shining, Lucy may just be your girl. Please fill out an application here!

Adopt Lucy and Receive Lucy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lucy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
