Meet Mamas – A Sweet and Gentle Soul Looking for a New Home Mamas is a beautiful 6-year-old Havana Brown with a soft chocolate coat and a calm, affectionate personality. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and has been well cared for her entire life. What makes her special is how quietly loyal she is. She doesn’t demand constant attention, but she enjoys being near you and is always happy to quietly keep you company. Her days are peaceful and simple. She loves lounging by the window, napping in soft spots around the house, and occasionally playing with her favorite toy mouse or a string. She’s not overly active, but she enjoys gentle interaction and thrives in a relaxed setting. Mamas brings a calm, comforting presence wherever she is. She would do best in a quiet home without other pets. Mamas prefers a low-stress environment and would be a great fit for someone looking for a mellow, easygoing companion. She has done well with older children and adults, but a loud or high-energy home might be too overwhelming for her. Rehoming Mamas is a very difficult decision. My eldest daughter has developed a severe allergy to her. Despite trying everything from regular grooming and deep cleaning to special food and various allergy medications, nothing has worked. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mamas was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mamas’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mamas’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mamas’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
