Howdy, meet Mustang! This one-year-old Boston Terrier is a little cowboy with a big personality, and he's lookin’ to ride off into the sunset with his forever family! Mustang moseyed into rescue from the Pomona shelter skinny as a rail, but thanks to some hearty meals and the expert care of our incredible Behaviorist, Kerianne from Beyond Behavior K9, this little wrangler is back on track and feeling fine. He’s filled out to a healthy 19 lbs (up from 16!) and is loving every belly rub and biscuit he earns. He’s a sucker for ear scratches and will treat you to his adorable “tippy tappy” two-step when he knows treats are on the way. Mustang didn’t see eye-to-eye with the dog in his first foster home, but since bunking with Kerianne, he's shown he can be dog-social with the right introductions. Kerianne’s even offering to help with the transition by doing a slow introduction or boarding both pups together for a few days to make sure it’s a smooth ride. Neutered Microchipped Fully vetted and up to date on vaccines Crate trained and learning all the good cowboy manners Mustang is currently fostered in Southern California and available for adoption within the region. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mustang's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mustang was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mustang’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mustang’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mustang’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
