About this Dog
Meet Jack! Jack is a gorgeous Australian cattle dog, about 2 years old, 40lbs, he is the perfect stereotype for a cattle dog: super smart, very athletic, very affectionate, wants his own human, and born to impose order on the world (aka herd). Jack has excelled at suburban living, he’s a whiz at house training, crate training, and has really taken to being a back seat driver. Jack is great around humans, he is calm and friendly, but not really interested in anyone but his own human. He is a fantastic walking and running buddy on leash, stays right next to you. Jack has also done a lot of shopping and loves heeling to a shopping cart, its his job! Jack’s Achilles heel is how he reacts to initially seeing other animals, on or off leash. He tends to immediately want to charge in and impose order on whatever animal it is. And if it runs, he will chase. In his foster home, Jack comes on strong when greeting new dogs, but is able to hang-out with calm, non-confrontational dogs and does better with female dogs. But he is a quick learner and, from getting lots of exposure to other dogs and learning some basic training, he is already improving immensely. Jack needs a human that loves the cattle dog breed and appreciates their quirks. Jack would do best with someone that likes to exercise and that will be able to work with him on his leash skills. No children and no cats because he will chase, but he would do fine with another balanced dog. If you have an active lifestyle and are looking for a really great companion to enjoy it with, Jack is it! Adopt Jack and Receive Jack's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jack's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Jack's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Jack, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jack's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jack was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jack’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jack’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jack’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
