About this Dog
Meet Petey, the one-year-old Pit Bull with the iconic black eye patch â yes, just like the beloved pup from The Little Rascals! But while his look might be straight from Hollywood, his personality is even more unforgettable.Since leaving the shelter and into foster care, Petey has truly blossomed into a loving, gentle, and playful companion. Heâs incredibly people-oriented and wants nothing more than to be near his humans â whether itâs curling up at your feet or joining in on family fun. He does have a little bit of separation anxiety, but itâs manageable and improves as he gains confidence and routine.Petey is especially tolerant and gentle with kids â he's been wonderful with three children in his foster home, ranging from ages 2 to 5. Heâs playful and curious, but always sweet-natured and patient, making him a perfect fit for a family environment.Heâs also done really well with other dogs, including the senior pittie in his foster home. Heâs still learning to read social cues (like when his older foster sister wants a break from play), but he takes corrections well and never escalates. Formal dog intros havenât been done yet, but so far he seems very dog-friendly.This boy is a rockstar in the car, nearly housetrained, and is doing well with crate training at night. Heâs still not a fan of being crated when left alone during the day, but heâs making progress. Leash manners are also a work in progress, but heâs smart and eager to please, which makes training a breeze.Petey is the kind of dog who will absolutely adore you â heâll follow you from room to room, offer his paw for some love, and bring joy to every corner of your life.If youâre looking for a sweet, loyal, and loving best friend with a classic look and a heart bigger than his blocky head, Petey might just be your perfect match.

Adopt *PETEY and Receive *PETEY's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, *PETEY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is *PETEY's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the *PETEY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming *PETEY's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *PETEY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *PETEY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *PETEY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *PETEY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
