Friends, our beautiful 8-month-old puppy, Onyx, is in need of your help to find him a loving and supportive forever home. Despite being born with a front leg deformity that has resulted in a shorter right leg, Onyx is a joyful and spirited boy who can run and play just like any other puppy. While he may be a little slower than his peers and doesn’t require as much exercise, his loving nature more than makes up for it. Onyx has formed a wonderful bond with one of our other dogs, Osa, and we would be overjoyed if they could be adopted together. However, we understand that this may not always be feasible, and our primary goal is to ensure Onyx finds a wonderful home where he can thrive. After consulting with two veterinarians, we are relieved to share that they both concur Onyx can continue to flourish without the need for a leg amputation, allowing him to live a long, happy, and pain-free life. Onyx is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, making him ready for his new adventure. He adores short walks, enjoys the company of other friendly dogs, and absolutely loves trips to the beach, where he can explore and soak up the sun. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Onyx's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Onyx was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Onyx’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Onyx’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Onyx’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
