About this Dog
Hi there! My name is Charlie S, and I’m a one-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as my paws—and at nearly 70 pounds, that’s saying something! I’m a happy, easy-going guy who greets everyone I meet with a waggy tail and a big ol’ smile. People, dogs—I love them all! I even met some cats and wasn’t too interested, so with a little patience, I might be just fine sharing a home with one. Even though I’m still young and new to this whole “training” thing, I already know how to “sit” and “down,” and I’m working on my “down-stay.” I walk nicely on leash, especially if you have cookies (treats are kind of my thing). I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night. I ride great in the car and am always ready for an adventure. I’ve got a playful, curious side and like to explore the world with my nose. I can be a little stubborn if I’ve got my heart set on something (hey, I’m a shepherd mix!), but I’m very trainable—especially if snacks are involved. I’m still a puppy at heart, so sometimes I dig or chew things I shouldn't, but I’m easy to redirect with a toy or bone. Now, let’s talk about cuddles—because I’m basically a professional. I love being close to my people and will happily try to curl up in your lap, even if I don’t quite fit. I get excited when I meet new friends and I’m learning not to jump up to say hello. I’ll let you know if I hear something unusual, but I’m not a noisy guy. See Charlie lovin' up 2-leggeds & 4-leggeds! If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate pup with a playful streak and a lot of love to give, I might just be your perfect match.

Adopt Charlie S and Receive Charlie S's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Charlie S's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Charlie S's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Charlie S, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Charlie S's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Charlie S was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Charlie S’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Charlie S’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Charlie S’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
