Krystal got his name when he showed up in a cardboard box at the local animal shelter, where a wonderful employee named Krystal worked. We bailed him out of the shelter because he was depressed, having de-bonded from his brothers; and with the number of rabbits looking for homes nowadays, people kept overlooking him. Although he's clearly a handsome fellow with his unusual color blocks, he hadn't warmed up to humans enough to get adopted. Now that he's in a temporary foster home, he's starting to come out of his shell and trust a little bit more every day. He needs a very gentle long-term foster or adoptive family.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Krystal was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Krystal’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Krystal’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Krystal’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
