Henry came to us by way of the SEAACA animal shelter. When he arrived at the shelter two weeks prior, he was in pretty terrible shape. His ears were destroyed by fly strikes, and his entire muzzle was covered in scabs/sores. He waited for two weeks, but nobody ever claimed him, and he wasn't adopted. We were able to step in and save him from taking his final walk. Henry is literally one of the calmest boxers we have ever seen. He's pretty solid, but so so so tender. He has those beautiful, soulful, amber eyes. It's obvious that Henry wasn't dealt the best hand early in his life, and he probably spent most of his time outdoors. Our vet examined him thoroughly and ran all of the appropriate tests. He believes Henry to be about 3 years old, but we are estimated between 3-5 just to be safe (his teeth indicate closer to 3). For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Henry was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Henry’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Henry’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Henry’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
