Meet Ziggy! He is an adorable 1-year-old Poodle Mix with a heart of gold and brains to match. Don’t let Ziggy’s short coat fool you, he has the poodle curls to prove it but unfortunately had to be shaved down in the shelter due to severe matting, so Ziggy will need a loving family who plans on having him groomed and brushed. Once his beautiful golden locks grow back, he will be even cuter than he is now, which is almost impossible to think about. Ziggy doesn’t shed, walks great on a leash, and plays well with other dogs. Ziggy came into his foster home as a scared boy who was skittish and timid, but after a short time of feeling secure and loved, he warmed up right away. Ziggy plays well with his foster family’s dogs and has learned by watching them. He goes potty outside, sleeps through the night, and listens well. His favorite game is fetch, he is so fast and will play alone or with other dogs. He really likes bones and toys he can chew on and carry. He is sweet, loving, and very smart. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ziggy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ziggy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ziggy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ziggy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
