About this Dog
Moving and life change circumstances make it necessary that I rehome Fiona (Fe). She is 17 months hold, house broken and friendly with people and very playful with other dogs. She is very alert and all about sniffing. Fiona is watchful and generally quiet though will bark at passing dogs and people. She is not overly sound reactive and we are working on stay, place and come commands. We are working on heal though she is learning to pull less on lead. I use a Schrader prong color which she is responsive to. She is treat motivated and I have started to use that to reinforce training. She sits when I place her food and she waits for an "ok" command to eat. She does sit and down commands very well. She is affectionate and playful. She will run and play for an hour or two with a neighbor's ridgeback mix dog and is playful with small dogs. She has a healthy chase instinct. Probably not a good choice with cats. (Working on the "leave it command"). Vaccinations are up to date, she is spaded and chipped. Collars, lead, food, Jabow Remote Training Collar and toys will accompany her. Fiona will need a fenced yard.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Fiona was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Fiona’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Fiona’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Fiona’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
