Meet Pepper – A Sweet and Loyal Companion Black Lab Mix • Female • 8 Years Old • 80 lbs Pepper is a gentle-hearted senior with a spark of playful energy and a whole lot of love to give. She’s happiest when she’s around people and thrives on companionship, cuddles, and a good game of fetch. Bath time? Pool time? She loves it! And when it comes to food, chicken and rice is her absolute favorite—though she’s also a big fan of apples. This smart girl even helps out around the house—she knows exactly when the gardener arrives and calmly puts herself in the gated area so he can work. She’s food-motivated, takes treats gently, and will happily sit for a snack. Pepper did well in play group with other doggies her size. We do not know about cats. Pepper still has some pep in her step, but not the overwhelming energy of a puppy. She enjoys toys, tummy rubs, and splashing in water. She does pull on the leash a bit (she’s used to a harness), but with a little patience, guidance and love, she’ll walk right into your heart. Pepper is a truly sweet soul looking for a forever home where she can relax, play, and be loved. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pepper was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pepper’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pepper’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pepper’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
