Hi there! My name is Darcy and I'm a spayed, 1 and a half year old Australian cattle dog mix that currently weighs about 40lbs. I'm a total sweetheart that starts off on the timid side. No need to worry though, I warm up fairly quickly and become a high energy, playful girl! I'm hoping for a family that is prepared to teach me about the world and help me build my social skills. Because I'm still working on things, I prefer to live with humans that are at least 10 years old. I'd like to meet everyone in the household, including any resident dogs, prior to joining the family so I can make sure we'll be a perfect fit. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Darcy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Darcy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Darcy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Darcy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
