About this Dog
Lincoln arrived at the Burbank Animal Shelter with his sister, Lana. At just 1.5 years old, theyâve spent most of their lives in the shelter, overcoming a rough start with the help of loving care and attention from our dedicated team.Lincoln is a gentle, easygoing pup whoâs become a favorite on our volunteer-led day hikes. He walks beautifully on a loose leash (most of the time) typically ignoring other dogs on the trail, though heâs always happy to pause for a break. One of Lincolnâs favorite things? Water! He recently had a blast splashing in a nearby stream, showing off his playful side. While Lincoln can be hesitant to get into cars, heâs getting better with practice and encouragement. Once heâs in, he settles nicely and enjoys the ride, especially when thereâs an adventure waiting at the other end.Lincoln shares a special bond with Lana. While theyâre comfortable being apart, they clearly love each other, often sharing kisses and checking in when theyâre together. That sweet connection only adds to Lincolnâs charm. In playgroups, Lincoln has shown impressive growth in his social skills. He plays well with the other dogs and is always gentle and affectionate with people. During a recent community parade in Burbank, Lincoln greeted adults and kids alike with tail wags and warmth.Since Lincoln has spent most of his life in the shelter, the outside world is still full of new sights and sounds for him. Heâll need a bit of time and patience to adjust, but heâs already shown great promise. During a recent overnight stay in a foster home, Lincoln was an easy guest and did all his business outside like a pro.Like all our shelter dogs, Lincoln will benefit from continued training as he transitions into a home. But what he truly needs is someone to take a chance on him.Lincoln is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog. Adopting him is like winning the doggy lottery, and if you adopt Lana too, well, youâve just hit the jackpot twice.

Adopt *LINCOLN and Receive *LINCOLN's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, *LINCOLN's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is *LINCOLN's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the *LINCOLN, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming *LINCOLN's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *LINCOLN was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *LINCOLN’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *LINCOLN’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *LINCOLN’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
