About this Dog
Please allow me to introduce our foster dog, Lana. She came to the Burbank Animal Shelter with her brother, Lincoln, after a rough start in life. At about a year and a half old, these two have spent most of their lives in the shelter, but thanks to the love and care theyâve received, theyâve grown into wonderful, affectionate dogs who are ready for a forever home.Iâve had the joy of fostering Lana for a couple of weeks now, and she has truly been a dream. She hasnât had a single accident in the house and figured out the doggie door immediately. Sheâs crate trained, very mellow, and just easy to have around. Weâve tested leaving her alone for short periods without crating her, and sheâs done beautifully: no mess, no mischief, just a calm, quiet pup waiting for us to return.Sheâs been picking up leash walking skills quickly, and riding in the car is no problem at all. Sometimes she enjoys sticking her head out the window, and other times she just curls up and falls asleep. Sheâs very gentle with her toys, but definitely likes to have something to mouth. Sheâs still a young dog, so having appropriate things to chew on helps keep her happy and out of trouble.Lana gets along well with my own dog and tends to be a little on the submissive side. She definitely seems to feel more confident when her brother Lincoln is nearby. Since she spent so much of her life in the shelter, the outside world is still new and sometimes a little overwhelming. Things like trash trucks on walks can spook her, but with time and gentle encouragement, sheâs already getting more comfortable. One thing sheâs definitely not afraid of is water. Lana loves running through sprinklers and will happily jump into a stream. Sheâs playful, curious, and very loving. Her favorite thing is to sit at your feet and soak up belly rubs. Sheâs the kind of dog who just wants to be close to her people, and she gives that love right back tenfold.Lana is an amazing dog, and whoever adopts her is going to hit the jackpot. She has so much love to give and is just waiting for the right person or family to discover how special she truly is.Lana is in a foster home and not housed at the shelter. Contribute to *LANA's Stash!

100% of *LANA's balance will be sent to whoever adopts *LANA.
Adopt *LANA and Receive *LANA's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, *LANA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is *LANA's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the *LANA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming *LANA's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *LANA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *LANA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *LANA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *LANA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
