Ernie is a *super* sweet and friendly boy. He *loves* being around people and getting pets and attention. He's super curious and has an outgoing personality. Walk up to his condo and he'll come right up and say hello. Start petting him and he'll happily make biscuits for you and purr up a storm. He also has a playful side: wave a wand toy and he'll happily bat and play with it, but when you're done, he'll want some more pets. He's basically a dog in a cat's body. (Have we mentioned how much he likes people?) This guy would like nothing more than to find a loving home he can call his own where he can follow his humans around and snuggle up with them. This boy is everything you'd want in a cat and he is going to make a lucky adopter *very* happy.Don't walk, *run* to the Burbank Animal Shelter to adopt Ernie!

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ERNIE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ERNIE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ERNIE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ERNIE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
