A5706794 Say hello to Frida , a 4-year-old Akita who’s basically a giant, fluffy teddy bear come to life! Her luxe coat is silky soft and impossibly plush, like petting a cloud, and her adorable little face and oversized cupcake paws are guaranteed to steal your heart. Frida may come off a bit aloof at first, but give her a moment and you’ll see her gentle, affectionate side shine through. She’s calm, sweet, and surprisingly easy to handle on leash - despite her big, huggable size. While she prefers to be the only pet and would do best in an adult-only home, she’ll reward your love with quiet loyalty and endless snuggles. Frida is ready to find her person - will it be you? -4 year old white and grey Akita -99 pound spayed female -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 6/14/25 as a stray -like a giant teddy bear! -silky soft, fluffiest of coats - so dense and plush, like petting a cloud -cute little face and giant cupcake paws, ready to wander their way into your heart -can be a bit aloof initially, but once she gets to know you, she warms up quickly and her true nature comes out -very calm and sweet - a bit different than the breed's classic personality -despite her size, she is very easy to leash and handle - however, no other dogs and an adult only home are still recommended FRIDA’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/YfU For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at [email protected] Photo Credit @ Sena Zimmer Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER. 100% of FRIDA's balance will be sent to whoever adopts FRIDA.
Adopt FRIDA and Receive FRIDA's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, FRIDA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is FRIDA's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the FRIDA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming FRIDA's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and FRIDA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, FRIDA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the FRIDA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, FRIDA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
