About this Dog
Louie is 3/4 beagle, 1/4 pug, born 10-27-16. 30lbs. House trained, leash trained. In his previous home he was an only dog and did some resource guarding of his food and over the years became protective of his mom with whom he spent his days. When she was not around, he is great with his dad. The reason he is needing another home is the arrival of a baby has caused concern with his protectiveness. He has bit, broken skin in the past...mostly his dad's. Wished we knew the circumstances... We want an experienced dog family who will follow our advice; no young children. OK as your one and only, though at B&B, he's been pretty calm and quiet, and has mingled nicely with the other dogs. He has a very recent good blood panel. He recently came into our house - voluntarily - and slept in doggie bed in room with lotsa other beagles and one human dog-addict. So sweet! Living in a pack is good for beagles... No biting here...we have been very patient and not rushed him to accept petting, all over touching from us. Check out his video in B&B front yard. He is good with all sizes/ages of other pooches. He got a sponsor as a Holiday Gift to a dear long time adopter/donor. Nice way to remember friends, family, dog-lovers for all occasions.
