About this Cat
Meet Carat---- Aka Baby Carat, Carat is a truly special little boy with a big heart and an even bigger story. When he was just 5–6 months old, he faced a life-threatening illness caused by extreme blood loss. Despite undergoing extensive testing, the cause was never found—but thanks to a lifesaving blood transfusion and lots of love, Carat made a full recovery and has been thriving ever since. Now over a year later, Carat is the picture of health and happiness—and maybe just a little spoiled! He’s been lovingly monitored to ensure nothing else cropped up, and he’s proven himself to be the “purrfect” companion. While he may come off a bit “stuck up” at first, don’t be fooled—once he warms up, he loves to snuggle and will happily curl up beside you, especially at bedtime (he insists on sleeping with his human every night). He is great with older kids but littles make him nervous. Carat isn’t fond of being picked up while you’re standing—a little quirk that appeared after his health scare—but he adores affection on his own terms. One thing to note: Carat absolutely must have a feline friend. He thrives in the company of other cats, and life as an only kitty just wouldn’t suit him. If you're looking for a charming, resilient, and deeply affectionate companion (with a bit of sass), Carat may just be the gem you’ve been searching for.

We want the Carat. (Baby Carat)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Carat. (Baby Carat)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
