About this Dog
Pharbear is a soulful, sweet girl with a fiercely loyal heart. She’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room just to be near you, rest her head on your lap when you’re sad, she will literally grab your hands with her paws as though she has hands, and gaze at you like you’re her whole world — because, to her, you are. She’s wonderful with people — affectionate, snuggly, and deeply devoted. But she does need to be the only pet in the home. She’s reactive toward other dogs, and unfortunately, after ongoing conflict with our husky, it’s become clear that she can’t safely share space with other animals. It breaks my heart to let her go, but her happiness and safety have to come first. Pharbear thrives in calm, loving environments. She’s best suited for someone who has dog experience and is ready to be her whole world. She’ll give you endless loyalty in return. She’s house-trained, loves routines, loves to play fetch, and once she trusts you, you’ll have her heart forever. I’m not just looking for any home — I’m looking for her person. Someone who sees her for who she really is and won’t give up on her. Pharbear just had her second birthday on May 17th, 2025.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pharbear's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pharbear was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pharbear’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pharbear’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pharbear’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
