About this Dog

4 YO Male Red Merle Mini Australian Shepherd. He is a big baby at heart. However, he has severe separation anxiety and mild food aggression. We have never been apart for him for an extended period of time, nor restricted any food. We got him from a breeder at only weeks old so we know all of his history. He lives in a home with another dog, mix border collie/mini aussie who is 7 YO. He gets along with her fairly fine, she is the alpha. He barks at the neighbor dogs next door, but will forget about them once he is done barking. He seems fine at the vet with other pets but I am not certain about 1:1. He has never been around cats in the same home, but he does bark at the stray cats from inside his fenced in back yard. We have tried different methods at home to help his behavior, but not professional training. We have not been able to afford that. He would growl unprovoked at our 1 YO and bit him recently due to what would seem to be anxiety. He would do better in a home with no kids and probably no other pet. He needs a lot of patience and a lot of love. He does well in fenced in yards, he is a very energetic and active dog. He really is a sweet dog, and we want to avoid euthanasia at all cost. We have avoided rehoming because we are the only family he knows and we love him so much. It is in both of our son and his best interest to not have him in our home. He has a special diet that is Hills Science Diet, that is made for sensitive stomach. If needed and Hills is not available he has ate Purina One. He also takes his monthly heart worm preventative. He is a loved dog.

Adopt Odin and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Odin's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Odin receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Odin, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Odin's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Odin was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Odin’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What is Dogecoin?

"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Odin’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Odin’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
