About this Dog
Jax is a very BIG teddy bear. He has a very gentle, loving nature. He was adopted from the shelter 6 years ago and returned to the shelter because the family was moving and couldn't take him with them. He was confined to a small outside pen before he came here and did not get much exercise. He was about 20 lbs overweight when we got him and has lost 12lbs already! He is 8 years old and now weighs 105 lbs. Jax's age and size do not slow this guy down at all...he is go go go! He LOVES walks, adventure and being with people. He gets very excited about everything and acts like a puppy. He would be a wonderful adventure buddy for an active family or person. He is house trained, good with other dogs and kids too. Jax would make a great addition to any dog loving home! If you would like more information, please contact the shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet. UPDATE: Jax just entered the Paws in Prison Program for 4-8 weeks of obedience training. He will be house trained, leash trained, crate trained and will learn tricks too. Who says an Old Dog cant learn new tricks.

Adopt Jax and Receive Jax's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jax's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Jax's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Jax, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jax's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jax was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jax’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jax’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jax’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
