About this Dog
This approx 2 yr old female was left at a property with 7 puppies. I have been feeding them all winter… someone has neutered this girl since she had the pups. I think the puppies are about 10 months old now. I have found homes for 3 of the pups. The man who left them told me that this dog was named POTATO by his 5 yr old daughter. Apparently, he did not had the wherewithal to take her and the pups when he left the property. They have survived a wicked winter and many stormy nights outside. I started feeding them in December, built a shelter for them and made sure they had food and water all winter. I live about 25 miles away and drive there every day to check on them. I have three dogs and cannot take another one in. The pups are like a pack now and although I can feed them, they are wary of me getting too close. BUT, Potato comes to me and loves to be touched, pet, and talked to. She is a sweet girl and I think has been house trained. She seems to know sit, come, no, etc. I have a couple of female Airedales at home who are pretty bonded to me and my third dog is one of the pups from this litter. I feel it would be a dog fight if I brought Potato home, as the three here would not be happy to share my time. I am 74 and a caregiver for my 87 yr old husband. It would be too much to have another dog. I think Potato is a really loving girl, who just wants to be cared for. I think she was hit by a car last year and has a hip injury ( she limps a little) but otherwise is in good health. She needs a bath and someone to love her. She is the only one I can catch. I will keep trying to get the pups to gain my trust. I just hate leaving Potato, she is at risk of getting hit again on the highway. All of the shelters I have called say they have no room for another dog. She is in Hot Springs county and apparently they have no animal rescue. I want to find her a good home but will continue to feed her and the pups until I do. They are near Social Hill, off Hwy 84 in Malvern.

100% of Potato's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Potato.
Adopt Potato and Receive Potato's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Potato's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$3 is Potato's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Potato, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Potato's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Potato was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Potato’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Potato’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Potato’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
