About this Dog
4/1/24 Velma is a beautiful, smart, friendly Lab mix who is currently at the Paws in Prison program. In this program, the dogs are paired w/ inmates and meet with a dog trainer weekly. The dogs are in the program for 8 weeks. In those 8 weeks the inmates work with the dogs every single day on the basics and sometimes some extra tricks! When the dogs graduate, they have their Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Velma will be ready for adoption in May and we hope to have an adopter ready and waiting for her! She was found running down a busy highway, along with Daphne, who we assume is her sister. Velma is very friendly and she was incredibly happy to be rescued because she was terrified on the street. Velma is friendly and sweet natured. She is a young adult and still very playful, but she also loves to cuddle. She adores kids as well as other dogs. She would prefer a feline free home. She hasn't hurt the cats in her foster home but she is too interested in them for us to feel comfortable placing her in a forever home with one. We want our feline friends to be safe, too, and we don't want to set our rescue pups up for a situation that could be problematic. Velma and Daphne are Lab mix, probably mixed with pit bull, but we don't know that for sure, we are guessing. Velma is about 50-60 lbs and won't grow more, other than possibly filling out a bit more. She is about a year old. She is crate trained and house trained, fully vetted, and ready to find a family to cuddle with! Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email [email protected] with any questions.

Adopt Velma and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Velma's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Velma's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Velma, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Velma's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Velma was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Velma’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Velma’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Velma’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
