About this Dog
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Chef—a charming and uniquely adorable companion who’s part potato, part loaf of bread, and 100% lovable. Weighing in at approximately 20 pounds, Chef’s breed mix is a bit of a mystery, though he appears to be a Corgi mix. He is estimated to be around 10 years old. Chef loves his daily walks, which are essential for both his happiness and waistline! His ideal home would include a secure yard where he can safely explore and indulge his love of chasing lizards and birds. Due to his activity needs and preferences, an apartment setting would not be ideal. Chef would do best in a home without small children, cats, or other small animals such as rabbits, hamsters, or birds. While he generally gets along well with small dogs, he can be possessive of his toys. He would thrive either as an only pet or with a compatible canine companion, in an environment where he can be the center of attention. He will also flourish in a home with slow introductions to strangers and clear boundaries on what is expected from him. A devoted companion, Chef loves nothing more than being close to his person—whether that means following them from room to room, lounging at their feet, or curling up in bed. As such, Chef is looking for someone who can spend the day with him—he’s not a fan of being left alone for long stretches. Chef is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently had a dental cleaning. He has a very low titer for valley fever and is currently on a twice-daily fluconazole regimen. Additionally, he takes a low-dose prednisone tablet once daily, which is both affordable and manageable. Chef is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a bit of quirky charm to a loving home that understands and embraces his needs. Chef is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and Catalina only. His adoption fee is $275, with an additional $21 for PACC licensing. Adopt Chef and Receive Chef's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Chef's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Chef's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Chef, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Chef's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chef was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chef’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Chef’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chef’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
