Meet Missy: A Loving Senior Looking for Her Forever Home! Missy is a gentle, sweet senior girl who has been through so much in her life, and she’s now ready to find the loving home she deserves. At 10.5 years old, Missy spent over three years living in a kennel at a boarding facility after her owner became homeless. Thankfully, our rescue stepped up in October to save her, and while she’s doing well in our care, Missy would love to spend her golden years in a forever home where she can receive the love and attention she’s been missing for so long. Missy is a calm and affectionate girl who thrives in a home setting. She’s fully housetrained, enjoys playing with stuffed animals and balls, and will greet you with her beautiful smile once she feels comfortable with you. While she can be shy at first, Missy is quick to form strong bonds with her people and is a loyal companion. She gets along with dogs her size and is not reactive to others, but she would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Missy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Missy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Missy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Missy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
