About this Dog
**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces, Vintage Paws Animal Rescue** Say hello to Chico! Chico is a senior gentleman, looking for a forever family to love him just the way he is, but also help him along his weight-loss journey. Chico came to the rescue with another dog, when their former family was no longer able to care for them due to health issues. The family was going to have Chico and his pal, Maggie, euthanized because they had nowhere for the dogs to go. Chico came to the shelter very overweight, at almost 33 pounds. We are proud to say that Chico has already lost almost four pounds during his time at rescue! Chico is approximately ten-years-old and is an easy-going fella. He enjoys a short walk around the block, a sniff in the sunshine, and a snooze on a soft bed. Chico is friendly with people and will gently approach you for pets, tail wagging. He is tolerant of other dogs and wouldn't mind another chill buddy in his forever family. Chico gets annoyed with the younger dogs at rescue, when they're all up in his business (who can blame him?!), but he does enjoy going on a walk or trotting around the yard with another chill buddy. Bring your dog from home in to say hello to Chico! If you have a heart for senior dog and are looking to help a special dog in need, please come meet our Chico! Chico is up to date on his vaccinations and previously neutered. Email [email protected] for more information/meet and greet appointment.

Adopt Chico and Receive Chico's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Chico's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Chico's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Chico, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Chico's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chico was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chico’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Chico’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chico’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
