About this Dog

He is a true sweet heart, SUCH a smart and quick learner. I saw him standing in the middle of the street while walking my dog a week ago, and when I crouched down and called him, he was nervous but came right over. He was obsessed with my dog from moment one. He is a young and playful guy, but after a day of slowly getting the two dogs acquainted, they now hang out freely in my apartment and just nap and chill together. I have not seen any bit of aggression from him, even during baths (though he definitely is afraid of them). I am able to restrain him in any way, play with his face, pick him up, and haven't had any issues. He just needs to get use to you and feel safe first. I would love to keep him, and was planning on it, but then I realized he has a bit of separation anxiety, and I just don't currently have the resources to devote. He would be the best fit in a home with a yard, he does fine with other dogs as long as personalities are a match. My other dog is a 7 yo 125 lb Shepard mix and they are perfectly fine together. He will want to play, but when my other dog lets him know he's not in the mood, he takes the hint and plays by himself. I want him to go to his perfect home, so it should be known that straight off the bat, it may be a bit of work. He needs training, as he did just come off the street, but he's already potty trained, knows 'sit' and has quickly gotten pretty good with 'lay down' since being with me. I've been using training treats with him and he responds very well. Though until he is a better trained boy and maybe use to a routine and less anxious, he should be an at home dog. He's not quite ready to be a busy brewery dog or anything, though I did take him to a quiet cafe patio and he did great.

Adopt Wilson and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Wilson's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Wilson receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Wilson, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Wilson's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wilson was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wilson’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Wilson’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wilson’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
