About this Dog
Meet Martin – A Gentle Giant with a Tender Heart Martin is a stunning 9-month-old brindle Cane Corso pup with soulful eyes and a heart as big as his paws. Though he’s still growing into his XL frame, Martin’s personality is all sweetness and submission. He came into the shelter in California with his best friend, an extra-large Bully breed, but heartbreakingly, his companion attacked him. Martin was removed for his safety and has since been navigating the world all on his own. This gentle boy is deeply dog-dependent—every time he’s taken out of his run, he immediately runs to the nearest dog kennels, longing for connection and companionship. He thrives in the presence of other dogs and truly needs a canine buddy in his forever home. Ideally, Martin would do best with another large dog who’s close in age or a bit older (up to 2–3 years), someone who can help build his confidence and be his playmate and emotional anchor. Martin is a bit shy at first, but his sweet, trusting nature shines through quickly. He does beautifully in a crate, travels well in a car, and enjoys his toys. Because of his size and sensitive nature, a home without toddlers would be best—he’ll blossom in a calm, supportive environment with experienced large-dog owners. Martin is one of the kindest, most lovable pups you’ll ever meet. All he needs is a little patience, a lot of love, and a best furry friend to show him the way. Adopt Martin and Receive Martin's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Martin's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Martin's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Martin, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Martin's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Martin was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Martin’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Martin’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Martin’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
