Meet Luna – Our Water-Loving Rescue Pup! Luna is a stunning 6-month-old Cane Corso puppy who’s looking for a fresh start and a forever home with someone who understands the breed and is ready to guide her with love, structure, and patience. Her previous owner kept her crated most of the time in a small apartment and just didn’t have the time to give her the life she deserves, so we’re working hard to help Luna catch up on the socialization she missed. Despite her rocky start, Luna is incredibly sweet, very cuddly, and absolutely adores kids. She’s a gentle, affectionate girl who just wants to be close to her people. Right now, Luna is a bit possessive of her toys and belongings—understandable, given her background—so she would do best as the only dog in the home at this time. Our team is actively working with her on this, and with the right structure and continued training, we’re hopeful she’ll learn to feel more secure and relaxed around other dogs. She is crate trained and has one major obsession: water! Whether it’s playing in it, splashing around, or soaking in a bath, Luna is in her happy place when water is involved. Luna is ready for a family that can help her blossom and give her the time, patience, and love she’s been missing. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and LUNA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, LUNA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the LUNA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, LUNA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
