About this Dog
MAX is available! Max is a very handsome 2-year-old neutered male purebred Golden Retriever. He has been in foster care where he has happily lived with three small dogs. Max has been hiking, swimming and running; he loves the outdoors. He is friendly with other dogs, but prefers small dogs, as he is intimidated by large dogs like himself; he has never been around cats. Max loves and is very respectful around children. He is sweet, good-natured, playful, and loves to fetch anything; but doesn't want to give it back unless you chase him. Max is leash-trained, house-trained and crate-trained. Max is extra-special because he was born with some unusual facial symmetry; his top jaw is slightly twisted resulting in an adorable underbite that has not caused him any issues. He has had occasional seizures and has recently been started on Keppra ER for medication. If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other available AGR dogs, and want to know more about the process, please click here. Note: WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. All potential fosters and adopters must fill out an application, pay an application fee and have a home visit in order to be considered for any dog.

Adopt Max and Receive Max's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Max's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Max's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Max, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Max's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Max was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Max’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Max’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Max’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
