About this Dog
My father passed away in March and my mom is moving to Arkansas with my sister. My dad loved his dogs and cats. Kumar was taken in as a pup when the teenager owner was shot and killed driving away from police. The kids mom gave Kumar to my great niece who was raised by my elderly parents. Kumar has lived with 1-2 other dogs (now just one) and 5 cats. There is a great granddaughter who comes to visit sometimes as well. My dad’s great even at age 98 would put his hat on and get his cane and walk the dogs slowly up the street. My dads great even was a ww2 Vet. When I would come visit from California I always would walk Kumar a little farther . Now I have rehomed 3 cats and have to most likely put down the other dog due to medical reasons and figure out a 20 year old cat. My mom is leaving 4/30. I’ve been here posting ,sending emails, asking, and hospice have her on a web site. I have gotten nothing . Can you possibly help? I’m desperate and running out of time 🙏🏻

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kumar's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kumar was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kumar’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kumar’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kumar’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
