About this Dog
Meet Diesel 🐾
Diesel is our six-month-old Labradoodle and, quite simply, an incredibly good boy.
About six months ago, our son came home from Safeway with a puppy. As parents, we learned very quickly that sometimes your kids make decisions before remembering to consult the people who actually run the house. Our son learned a valuable life lesson, and we unexpectedly gained a dog that we absolutely fell in love with.
Diesel has grown into a big, sweet, loving guy with an equally big personality. He is friendly, affectionate, playful, and genuinely just a really nice dog. He loves being around people and has become part of our family.
Unfortunately, he has also gotten much bigger than we anticipated, and we’ve had to be honest with ourselves that our home and situation simply aren’t the best fit for a dog his size. This isn’t because Diesel has done anything wrong. In fact, that’s what makes this so difficult. He’s a great dog, and we love him to death.
We aren’t looking to simply “get rid of” Diesel. We want to find him the best possible home, with people who have the space, time, and lifestyle for a big, young Labradoodle and who will love him as much as we do.
He’s only six months old, so he still has plenty of puppy energy and plenty to learn, but he also has his whole life ahead of him. We would love to see that life spent with a family where he has room to grow, play, explore, and be somebody’s best friend.
Diesel deserves the best of the best. Finding that home for him is the most important part of this for us.
We just happened to reap a very large Labradoodle.

Adopt Diesel and Receive Diesel's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Diesel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Diesel receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Diesel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Diesel's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Diesel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Diesel’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Diesel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Diesel’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
