Meet Carmella, the stunning orange and cream colored girl with blue eyes! Carmella and her sister Osita are bonded and are looking for a home where they will always be together. While Carmella is definitely not a purebred, she looks strikingly like a beautiful flame point Siamese. Carmella enjoys playing with interactive toys such as a feather on a wand. She also enjoys being petted. The sisters love sleeping together and are so cute when they groom each other. They will be shy at first and Carmella will take a bit longer than Osita to feel secure and comfortable. They are really sweet girls and need to be given time and gentle interaction for them to relax and know they are in their forever home. They came from a house with many cats and most likely weren't able to get the attention they wanted. Osita and Carmella have never been around young children and would do best with older kids who are gentle and patient with them. There is a 3/3/3 Rule to keep in mind when adopting cats and it will certainly apply to these 2 beauties. It's a general guideline for the adjustment period of a pet after adoption. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Carmella (bonded with Osita) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Carmella (bonded with Osita)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Carmella (bonded with Osita)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Carmella (bonded with Osita)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
