MEET MATER!!! Mater is a fun-loving, energetic one year old red heeler. He is shy at first, but he opens up once he is comfortable. He loves playing with his foster sisters in the yard and is good with small and large dogs alike. However, he needs a slow introduction to other dogs at first. He is a very smart boy. He even taught himself how to use the dog door! He knows the basics: sit, lay down, come, stay, etc.). He walks on a leash but could use continued training because he gets so excited to go explore outside. He is a high energy pup and being so smart, will do best in an active home to keep him from getting into trouble. He also loves snuggling on the couch and quiet time in his kennel. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and MATER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, MATER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the MATER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, MATER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
