MEET SMAUG! Smaug is a very happy goofy boy. He is not very demanding of attention and likes to play with his toys just in the company of a human. Smaug is a quick learner, but would need trained on your household's routine. Separation anxiety and things going on outside can sometimes get to him, but he is very easy to calm down. Smaug is great with kids and can be high energy at times. Smaug has been around other dogs. Smaug loves hoses and his mini pool and all sorts of water. He takes treats very gently, but is still learning how to be more gentle taking toys (he just gets too excited). Walks great on a leash with pulling happening less frequently. He would love to meet you and has a butt that never stops wiggling. From day one Smaug sits and waits for his meals and is so patient with all food. Smaug loves a good bath and belly rubs. He will require bringing a toy on each walk to show off. Has basic training, but will need more depending on your situation and lifestyle with him. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and SMAUG was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, SMAUG’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the SMAUG’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, SMAUG’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
