MEET LUCKY!!! Lucky is a well-behaved young man that would most likely do best in an active home that would like a canine companion to join them in their activities. He loves to be included and is always looking to please. He loves his people and would be a fabulous protector, as he is alert, agile and strong. He is still a young pup, and is a high energy dog, that really is pretty chill. When it's play time, he is fully engaged and raring to go, but indoors he behaves calmly and is more than happy to lay down next to you and watch a movie. Lucky has done well with the other six foster dogs of varying sizes, breeds and ages. Granted, this was through slow and monitored interactions at first. However, he would do great as someone's one and only as well. He really loves his humans. His energy can be a little overwhelming for smaller dogs or a senior that just likes to relax, so take that into account. His happy and energetic demeanor may not be the best for small children because he can sometimes jump up and possibly knock over a smaller child. Lucky is house trained and crate trained. He sometimes likes to watch TV and will interact with something on the screen from time to time. He likes to play fetch and catch tennis balls. He is extremely good at that. He also seems to like getting wet and can swim, but he mostly likes to get his face and feet wet without getting fully submerged. A kiddie pool would be right up his alley. Lucky spent most of his first year of life as an outside dog desperate to have a family to love and take care of him. He deserves the best from here on out. Meet Lucky and it will be your lucky day! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and LUCKY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, LUCKY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the LUCKY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, LUCKY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
