Pearl (A139042) is an intact female 6-month-old hamster who weighed 5.1oz on intake! 07/15/25 This active girl is Pearl! Pearl was surrendered to the shelter because her owner felt that she deserved the best and that they were not able to provide that for her. Care requirements have changed drastically in the past few years, and we have found out that our little friends deserve so much more in their enclosure! We encourage you to research and have your enclosure ready prior to bringing this little friend home. She would appreciate a 50-gallon tank, but ideally a 75-gallon tank set up would be the best! Providing plenty of bedding to dig around and explore in, as well as a section for a dust bath! Providing a large enough wheel is also important â the wheel should be 11-12 inches in diameter for safety and comfort! Pear LOVES running on her wheel! There is so much to learn, and it can be fun spoiling your little friend! She was said to be a wonderful hamster and is eagerly awaiting her new home!

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and PEARL was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, PEARL’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the PEARL’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, PEARL’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
