About this Cat
Dejon (A139125) is a 4-year-old DSH who weighed 13.50 pounds on intake! 08/15/25 Gibby, previously known as Dejon has found himself back at the shelter due to the family discovering someone in the home was allergic. Gibby was stated to be a perfect house guest, polite, quiet and gentle. The previous owners stated that while he is a shy guy who does take time to warm up once he does he is a lover! If you are interested in meeting this sweet boy please let us know!07/29/25 This sweet shy guy is Dejon! Dejon arrived at the shelter via the overnight drop-off cages with no paperwork, so we do not know his story. He has since defaulted to the borough and is now looking for his new home! At the shelter, this gentle giant has spent most his time in the comfort of his hide but does enjoy human interaction when everything is quiet and calm. His new owner should be cautious of doors and windows to the outside so he does not bolt. Dejon was left in the same kennel as another cat but we do not know the extent of his history with other animals. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals to help set him up for success! If you are interested in meeting Dejon, please let us know!

Adopt GIBBY and Receive GIBBY's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, GIBBY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is GIBBY's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the GIBBY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming GIBBY's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and GIBBY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, GIBBY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the GIBBY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, GIBBY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
