About this Cat
Austa (A138322) is a 6-year-old DLH cat who weighed just over 11 pounds on intake! Foster update: Austa was said to be doing very well in foster! He has been using his litterbox with no issues and is eating his urinary diet food like a champ! His foster stated he is a super-easy cat but does have his quirks. Austa does not like being picked up or held while standing, but does enjoy lying next to his person on the couch and in bed! He was stated to be very social in his foster home and has even done well when friends of the foster brought their small poodles over to meet him! Austa was also said to be a big talker and enjoys telling the foster about his day â meow, meow, meow! If you are interested in meeting Austa, please let us know!05/08/25 This handsome boy is Austa! Austa was surrendered to the shelter because he had been urinating outside his litterbox for the past couple of months. He was placed on medical evaluation to be seen by the shelter vet for this issue. His labwork indicated that Austa will need a prescription diet long term to deal with this issue. Austa was described as a shy but friendly cat who has a rough style of play. He would prefer a home without children as he was stated to not enjoy their company and would try and get away from them. Austa was said to get along well with dogs after appropriate introductions were made. However, he does not enjoy the company of other cats. Austa is really looking for his special place to call home. He would prefer to have a quieter home setting where he is the king of the castle. If you are interested in meeting Austa, please let us know!

Adopt AUSTA and Receive AUSTA's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, AUSTA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is AUSTA's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the AUSTA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming AUSTA's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and AUSTA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, AUSTA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the AUSTA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, AUSTA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
